Lesson 5 of 19
Documents & paperwork
A quick honest note before this lesson: checking your documents is a separate step from the interview conversation, not something the official quizzes you on in dialogue — real accounts of the appointment describe it as submitting paperwork alongside a conversation about your form and autobiography, not being asked to narrate your document chain out loud.
Still, this vocabulary is worth knowing — for reading Hungarian instructions, for a clarifying question an official might ask about a specific document, and because these are exactly the words the guide's own Documents chapter uses.
By the end you can:
- name the core document types: birth/marriage certificates, translations, originals vs. copies
- say that your documents are in order, or explain a specific one
- recognize these words if an official asks about a document you submitted
