Lesson 4 of 19
The ancestor chain, generation by generation
The previous lesson covers one ancestor. But simplified naturalization requires proving an unbroken chain, generation by generation, from that ancestor down to you — so it's worth being able to describe the whole line, not just its first link.
This reuses the sentence patterns from the previous lesson, just applied to more than one person, plus a few connecting phrases for moving from one generation to the next.
By the end you can:
- introduce more than one generation of your family in sequence
- say that a later generation was born after the move, or stayed in Hungary
- describe the chain as a whole as unbroken
