Lesson 4 of 74 · A1, Unit 3: Every day
Days, months, and time words
The Hungarian week starts on Monday. Only the weekend days break the pattern: szombat (Saturday) and vasárnap (Sunday, literally 'market day').
Month names are close to the international ones, so they are quick to learn. Days and months are written with a small letter, not a capital.
By the end you can:
- name the seven days and the twelve months
- use ma, holnap, tegnap, and the parts of the day
- ask and answer what time it is and what day it is
