Lesson 20 of 74 · A2, Unit 4: Health, feelings, and people
Health and the body
To say something hurts, Hungarian puts the body part first and fáj ('hurts') after, with a possessive ending on the body part: Fáj a fejem, literally 'hurts my head'.
This builds on survival-phrases' emergency vocabulary with the everyday version: not just 'call a doctor' but describing the problem once you're there.
By the end you can:
- name the main parts of the body
- say what hurts using fáj + possessive
- handle a basic pharmacy or doctor's visit
