Lesson 51 of 74 · B1, Unit 4: Practical situations and stories
Emergencies and the doctor
at-the-doctor covered an everyday visit; a real emergency needs more — calling for help, describing what happened in a subordinate clause, and understanding follow-up questions.
Hungary's single emergency number is 112. Give your location first — Hol vannak? is always the dispatcher's first question, because paramedics can't help until they know where to go.
By the end you can:
- call for emergency help and give your location clearly
- describe how an accident happened using a subordinate clause
- understand and answer more complex follow-up questions from a doctor
