Lesson 28 of 74 · B1, Unit 1: The wider world
Travel and hotels
Van foglalásom ('I have a reservation') is the key line at check-in. foglalás comes from foglal ('to book, reserve'), the same root as foglalkozás ('occupation') from the jobs lesson — both about 'holding' something for you.
Passport control and airport vocabulary build on getting-around's transport words with the specifics of crossing a border.
By the end you can:
- check into a hotel and ask about your room
- handle passport control and the airport
- talk about luggage and booking ahead
