Lesson 12 of 74 · A2, Unit 1: Daily life
Daily routine
This lesson introduces -ik verbs — a small class that looks like third person even in the 'I' form: lakik ('lives') becomes lakom, not lakok. You already met one in Budapesten lakom. Several of today's routine verbs follow the same pattern.
Frequency words like mindig ('always') and soha ('never') go right before the verb: Soha nem reggelizem, 'I never have breakfast.'
By the end you can:
- describe your morning routine using -ik verbs like felkelek, mosakszom, and öltözködöm
- say how often you do something: mindig, gyakran, néha, ritkán, soha
- talk about going to work, school, or home
