Lesson 18 of 74 · A2, Unit 3: Work, learning, and free time
Hobbies and free time
szeretek ('I like/love to') pairs with the infinitive — the -ni form: szeretek olvasni, 'I like to read.' The infinitive is the dictionary form used this way.
Sports mostly use their own -ik verb: focizik ('plays football'), úszik ('swims'), fut ('runs') — you'll meet the -ik pattern from the daily routine lesson again here.
By the end you can:
- name common hobbies and sports
- say what you like doing with szeretek + infinitive
- talk about how often, tying back to mindig/gyakran/néha
