School and education

iskola is any school; the specific words are általános iskola ('primary school'), gimnázium ('academic secondary school'), and egyetem ('university').

To name a subject you're studying, use tanulok plus the subject in the accusative: Matematikát tanulok, 'I'm studying maths.'

By the end you can:

  • name common school subjects
  • talk about the school day: classes, homework, exams
  • say what you study using tanulok + accusative
